‘Lucifer, when this is all over, I’ll finally have the gift to go that realm, tear down the pillars of Heaven, and drag the bloodied carcass of that God from his celestial throne.’
New chapter here. 🙂 War is coming from all angles now.
When I started writing this I wasn’t sure whether to include the Heaven/Hell aspects as I’d done that already with Last Battle. But it feels right to include it now.

Celeste glanced over and grinned, flicking a riglet of blonde hair from her face, seductively narrowing her eyes. ‘I wonder what her insides taste like?’
Another chapter in Hell for the Dancescu’s – getting closer to their demonic uncle.
Chapter 13 is here.

The Muse of True Love
And now for something quite off track that I’m used to writing. 😀
Unbeknownst to most people I know, the concept and notion of love is something that dominates quite a lot of my life, and even drives me to work, write, and paint. Even though I rarely talk about it.
Fuelled by an unhealthy obsession of 80’s movies, old Disney films and power ballads, I think I have beliefs about love that many would consider unrealistic.
I’ve used the idea of a perfect romance as a kind of muse in all my workings. And even though it’s not quite obvious when reading my writings (especially with some of the gorier work!), a simple scratch of the surface will show it’s subtle undertones of love.
In my screenplay of Last Battle, the protagonist’s only drive was to return to his wife and child, willing to go head first against the armies of Hell in the name of love. And likewise in the same tale, I penned about a couple – one controlled by Heaven, one unwillingly controlled by Hell desperately fighting it out amid the fires of the underworld, trying to understand what has become of them. Another character fights in the belief that his long lost love can still see him, and uses this notion to give him courage.
With Tapestry of Fates I wanted to build up the story and characters own paths within the wars in the first book, before helping them to understand there’s more to life than just fighting in the second book, which of course leads to some romantic interventions, in turn causing the subsequent battles against E-Clipse to become more desperate and heartfelt.
This is route I’m planning with Fallen Tears also, as the twins near the source of the vampiric reign, I want to introduce a kind of romantic spanner in the works without altering the book as a whole.
So why is it that a bloke writing so much about love has remained single for quite a few years now (insert wise crack here about not being able to get a girlfriend)? I’ve been on dates after all, and that’s something I do enjoy greatly, but that could be because I love getting to know new people.
It’s no secret that I’m quite an emotional fella. Not in the crying sense, but as in deeply feeling everything around me. I hate nothing more than seeing people upset and would move mountains to make people happy. Sometimes being overly emphatic can be seen as a weakness, as it’s a trait easily exploited.
I guess I can only say that I don’t yearn for just a simple coupling, sleeping around, or jumping in and settling down with the first person that shows interest. Like my stories, I want meaning to develop before anything else.
Rather I feel I have an eye open for that perfect romance I like to write about; a chivalrous, all-consuming, soul-burning love that many believe doesn’t exist.
And does that kind of love exist? I feel I’ve seen enough evidence in this world to believe so.
Do I believe it’ll come to me? Maybe. Maybe not.
Does it make a fussy bastard? Some might even say I’ve not right to be fussy! 😀 But it’s something I won’t try to force, not sell my soul to achieve.
Whilst I’ve seen how true love can create Heaven for some, I’ve also seen it create misery in others. There’s nothing worse than regret, and living beside someone for mere convenience without any affection is one of the biggest in life.
Perhaps I even put off the idea of becoming fully involved with someone as the muse of love is such a powerful working drive for me. At times in the past I’d even use the thought of a some particular girl in order to push forward my work. But now I think it’s more of the notion itself that helps spurn my creativity.
It’s a surprise to read that Napoleon Hill wrote a similar idea in his book Think and Grow Rich – a chapter called “The Mystery of Sex Transmutation” that was removed in the early editions, with it being seen as too risque for the audiences of the 1930’s. Basically it describes that many of the successful businessmen at the time turned their desires of sex into a powerful drive that spurned them to work hard.
So whilst I’ve rambled on over one of the most boring blog utterings I’ve ever posted, whilst simultaneously giving my mother a heart attack about the possible lack of grandchildren, I wonder how I’ll end this in a suitable way.
One of the greatest things I’ve ever seen in fiction is J.K.Rowling’s Severus Snape. Whilst we all spent many books and movies believing Snape was a cold-hearted, wicked man with a terrible agenda, the saddest part came when we learned the truth about his love for Harry’s mother, gently hinted at in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
“Dumbledore watched her fly away, and as her silvery glow faded he turned back to Snape, and his eyes were full of tears.
“After all this time?”
“Always,” said Snape.”
As tragic as this story arc is, it’s the semblance I adore. And the willingness to sacrifice himself even for his love’s offspring is pretty much as deep as you can get.
‘So you’re here to stop us entering Hell?!’ shouted Darcie, holding her sword up at the demon. ‘Good luck with that!’
Back on track with this tale now.
And time to get things seriously messed up as the vampiric twins prepare to enter Hell.

…the chains and shackles fell from the red-haired woman, and her two captors quickly jumped back several feet. ‘Kill them all Kaitlyn!’ roared Celeste.
Finally! Another chapter added!
And a massive battle for the Dancescu twins in this one. I’ve always tried to keep this tale a little bit gory and horrific, but I’m not sure if I’ve gone too far with this chapter, especially with it’s ‘Scanners’ type influence.
Anyway, I’m happy with the direction it is going now, and it’s growing into a far larger story than I originally envisaged.
Chapter 9 can be acquired from the page at the top, or here. 🙂

‘You ready Chantelle?’ Lauria laughed. ‘For today, I promise you will die.’
At last, I finally found time to write another Fallen Tears chapter.
This is part 8 (Chapter 5).
My friends Laura and Chantelle both have characters in this chapter, and both have spoken to me that they want their own character to win if there’s a ruckus between the two. This could prove to be either a nightmare for me or a great deal of fun! 😀
It can be downloaded from the top with the other chapters. Or here. 🙂

Fallen Tears Update
“Half 2” I solemnly announce when quizzed about what time I got to sleep by my friend each morning as I make my way to work.
Depsite my friend’s unnapproving sighs and the fact I get sleepy on my lunch break, I’ve a big reason to be needing to work so much at the moment. Not only is my fabulous girlfriend Wendy training her bawatty off for her competitions (well done on winning the last one a few days ago hun!) but I’m doing my best to market Sprit’s Destiny, help other people with their work, and keep on top of all other commitments.
I recently joined a website called ‘Authonomy’ owned by Harper Collins. Basically it’s a bit like Facebook for novelists where people can comment on each other’s work, offer advice and criticism, and rate their novels in the hope that their book will be pushed up high in order to get noticed by Harper Collins themselves.
Now since I’m unable to put Spirit’s Destiny on there (why would I put a book I’m selling on there for all to read to free?) I have stuck my monthly blog novel Fallen Tears on there. Despite simply being an experiment and an excersise, and acknologing some of the legendary work on Authonomy, I was quite surprised to find a number of folk giving it a thumbs up. So now I’m pushing a bit more energy behind this little tale. Who thought vampire novels were still in demand eh? Next chapter this weekend!
Also if you do decide to take a look on Authonomy I recommend reading a book called Chaeli: Scion of Blood by Kara Thrace. It’s a great epic fantasy that will surely take the talented writer on her way to stardom. 🙂
‘Their souls drip with the blood of gods!’ Voracity cried. ‘I must have it!’
Finally got the second chapter (5th installment) of my free novel Fallen Tears uploaded.
At last the main protagonists meet the antagonists for the first time, including the ravenous child Voracity.
The chapter can be downloaded here.
Thanks for reading 🙂
Fallen Tears – Chapter 1

Thanks to all have read the tale so far.
P.S. Please bear in mind this is a very hastily written story (a chapter a month after all) and as of which the grammar may not be completely perfect. Thanks 🙂

Whoever heard of a robotic angel?
I’ll be honest, Uni was pretty much a big waste of time for me! Not having a proper tutor for the entire first year, getting myself in major debt, and forgetting just about everything there is to learn about Animation just about sums up how pointless for me it was.
There were good things mind! I had a blast whilst I was there, it helped push me towards the wrtiting side of productions, helped with my art, and I got to throw my mortar board in the air at graduation. Uni was also responsible for giving me a character that I have been determined to put in every piece of writing I create even if I had to change her to a pink-haired human if necessary.
One of our assignments was to create an original character based upon two completely different subjects or genres. For instance one of my friends created a Transvestite Gladiator. I decided to combine Robots and Angels, and named my character Cyphangel. Her back story was that she was an assasination droid, built in pinks and purples to deceive her targets. We had to construct these characters using a crude armature and plasticine.
To this day that model remains at my dad’s house, and Cyphangel has morphed into simply ‘Angel’. She has also give rise to my sister’s and friend Symon’s fave character – the childlike, four sword, two gun wielding Seraphim. So far both character’s have appeared in both Tapestry of Fates and Phoenix, serving as a link to the two tales.
Recently I was quite disheartened to see a character in Tekken 6 paying more than a slight resemblence to Angel, in both looks (pink hair) and storyline.Thankfully I could never be accused of stealing as it’s nearly a decade since I left uni.
Now I’m due to put Angel into Fallen Tears.
Has anyone heard of a robotic, vampire angel?
Fallen Tears – Free Online Novel
Finally, the 1st Prologue has been completed for my gothic vampire tale and will be uploaded tonight.
Starting the next chapter as soon as possible.
Thankyou to anyone who takes the time to read this piece of work. x
Fallen Tears Novel Update
Still penning the character list for my online novel. Unlike Tapestry of Fates I’ve done the same as I did with Last Battle and write out an exhaustive list of the characters. There’s quite a large roster of people in this (plenty of vampire fodder) with very few characters based on people I know 😀
Here’s one of the evil characters that is a little bit inspired by Kirsten Dunst in Interview with a Vampire.
I’ve named this 8 year old vamp Voracity after the amount of blood and humans (and even fellow vamps and demons) she gorges on.
I could’ve spent a bit more time on this photomanip but I’ve got to get back to work 😀
Fallen Tears – Blurb
The Blurb (the bit at the back of a book that tells you a little about the story) to my new monthly novel.
This is pretty much all I have to go off the tale so it’ll be interesting for me as well to see how it develops.
When the parents of the young Dancescu twins are brutally murdered by their demonic uncle, they are quickly hurried away to safety, leaving their beautiful country of Tranvaal to be plunged into the deepest recesses of Hell; a land so twisted and blackened that no sunlight or colour can penetrate.
As vicious demons and monstrous vampires roam the countryside, the people of Tranvaal are left in utter despair, fearful of their new ruler and the powerful grip of terror he has over them.
But years later, when any glimmer of hope has been violently torn from the world, two lone figures suddenly appear from the shadows.
The Dancescu twins have returned; fueled with hearts of pure vengeance, and possessing infernal powers. Striding through the lands and slaughtering everything the fires of hell can unleash upon them, they fix their sights on the abode of their nefarious uncle.
Yet as they close in on the source of the vampiric reign, they must resist their own inherited blood-lust if they are to have any chance of destroying this plague of evil and defeating the traitor that destroyed their lives.
New Monthly Novel – Fallen Tears
I’ve noticed recently with all the work I’ve done trying to illustrate and market Book 1 of Tapestry of Fates I’ve had little time to do what I set out to do – write!
I’ve toyed for a while now to do a story for this blog, uploading a new chapter free every month without illustrations, which will serve as a welcome temporary distraction from my other unavoidable workload.
After debating which tale I’d like to do, I’ve decided on the vampiric story I’ve had on the back burner for well over thriteen years (I still have a really old sketch somewhere when it was called Dark Destinies). I think the demand for vampire based literature is still pretty high, although this tale will not be a teenage love story (love elements will be in there though). Another deciding factor for this is the fact my sister recently gave birth to twin boy and girl – the main characters are twin brother and sister, so they will be renamed fittingly.
I know this will please my good friend Laura who keeps requesting I pen this novel. 😀
Also I’m heading to Transylvania this November so I may get some inspiration. hehe!
I will write the blurb on my lunch and upload.
